Chapter 3: Installing and Configuring Terminal Services

applications မ်ားကို remote users မ်ားသို့ deliver ျပဳလုပ္ေပးႏိူင္တဲ့ application infrastructure technologies မ်ားအေၾကာင္း စဥ္းစားၾကည့္မယ္ဆိုရင္၊ Terminal Services ကို central component အျဖစ္ ေတြးမိပါလိမ့္မယ္။ Terminal Services သည္ remote users မ်ားကို Windows Server 2008 computer တစ္လံုးေပၚမွာ interactive sessions (both desktop sessions and application sessions) မ်ား establish ျပဳလုပ္ႏိူင္ေစတယ္။
Lesson 1: Deploying a Terminal Server
Windows Server 2008 မွာ Terminal Services နဲ့ function တူ လုပ္ေဆာင္တဲ့ Remote Desktop ပါ၀င္ေနျပီး ျဖစ္တာမို့ ၄င္းအခ်က္သည္ Terminal Services ကို deploy ျပဳလုပ္မယ့္ ဆံုးျဖတ္ခ်က္ကို ရွဳပ္ေထြးေစတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ Terminal Services ကို deploy မျပဳလုပ္မွီ ၄င္း server role နဲ့ Remote Desktop အၾကား ကြဲျပားျခားနားခ်က္မ်ားကို နားလည္ေနဖို့ အလြန္အေရးၾကီးတယ္။
Understanding Terminal Services
Terminal Services သည္ remote users မ်ားကို Windows Server 2008 computer တစ္လံုးေပၚမွာ interactive ျဖစ္တဲ့ desktops or application sessions မ်ားကို establish ျပဳလုပ္ႏိူင္ေစတယ္။Terminal Services session တစ္ခုအတြင္းမွာ Terminal Services clients သည္ ၄င္း session အတြတ္ processing load တစ္ခုလံုးကို terminal server သို့ virtually offload လုပ္တယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ organization တစ္ခုသည္ Terminal Services ကို အသံုးျပဳျပီး central server တစ္ခုရဲ့ resources မ်ားကို users နဲ့ clients မ်ားအၾကား ခြဲေ၀ အသံုးျပဳႏိူင္ေစတယ္။ ဥပမာ Terminal Services ကို အသံုးျပဳျပီး central server မွာ install လုပ္ထားတဲ့ application တစ္ခုကို organization တစ္ခုလံုးမွာ ရွိေနတဲ့ users မ်ားသို့ ခြဲေ၀ အသံုးျပဳႏိူင္ေစတယ္။ ၄င္း လုပ္ေဆာင္ခ်က္သည္ line-of-business (LOB) applications နဲ့ tracking inventory programs မ်ားကို အသံုးျပဳေနတဲ့ companies မ်ားအတြတ္ အထူးအသံုး၀င္တယ္။figure 3-1 မွာ terminal server သည္ remote clients မ်ားသို့ central application တစ္ခုကို ဘယ္လို ရရွိေစသလဲဆုိတာ ျပသထားတယ္။
